Stanford Bridge NOT Istanbul?!
Oh well.
The title speaks for itself. I think you know what I mean.
Yes. I am talking abt the 4-4 tie between Liverpool and Chelsea at Stanford Bridge.
It's not because Liverpool played badly, since the likes of Dirk Kuyt, an off-form Torres and Yossi Benayoun form an attacking trinity upfront to score 4 goals. It's because Chelsea have strong fightback mentality. They could have just lost their hopes after being behind 4-3.
But Lampard showed the character that makes Chelsea a strong team.
Yes, the fightback mentality. This doesn't apply to football only, but rather to our lives as well.
Learn to fight back and become stronger after meeting obstacles.
Isn't that how things are?
Meanwhile, at the Emirates, Arsenal managed to rout Villareal 3-0.
You have to admit Arsenal were the better team, even though there were many dangerous moments for the Gunners throughout the 90minutes.Given their patched-up defence consisting of Toure, Eboue and Lukask Fabianski at goal, they could have been sunken down by the Yellow Submarines.
Walcott revelled in his role as right winger, van Persie and Adebayor piled pressure with their runs, and the whole team was brilliant in their counter-attack.
If they played like this all the way, they can possibly be strong contenders for the footballing Holy Grail.
Looking over to the Estadio do Dragao, Man U got themselves their new no. 1.
Yes, they became the first team to defeat Porto at home.
Ronaldo's sixth minute strike put them through. I must admit I do not like Ronaldo, but that shot was brilliant. Porto goalkeeper Helton couldn't have caught it. Otherwise, they are still good, launching loads of attack on Porto's strong defense. Which could mean their form is back anything soon. Watch out for that.

What a freaking brilliant week this is.
The matches are oh so brilliant.
But first, I am not going to talk about the barcelona-bayern munich match because the result is more or less expected. (although i was expecting a 3-2 win, not a 4-0 thrashing)
1. Manchester United v Porto
Man u fans must be crying in their hearts. But I think 2-2 score was already lucky enough for Man U. Their defence was rather patchy without rio ferdinand, and johnny evans looked like he had three feet.

On the other hand, Porto kept attacking and attacking. They showed no fear like what other lesser teams would.
Or maybe they scared of the Hulk...
By the way, the Hulk has little resemblance to the green one...
2. Liverpool v Chelsea
Meanwhile another Premier League Club finds itself in crisis.
3-1 at Anfield. Geez.
You can say Liverpool killed itself.

With that 1 goal lead, Liverpool could have killed off Chelsea before half time. But they didn't make use of their chances.
And then again, their zonal marking system is brought into question. It's pretty obvious Chelsea trained their set pieces. Look at Chelsea, only Branislav Ivanovic running to head the ball, while others remain still. Obvious they knew what to do.
It's gonna be a tough going for Liverpool at Stanford Bridge.
3. Villareal v Arsenal
Lucky Arsenal.
Kudos to that aerobic kick by Adebayor.
I have nothing to say. Good luck to Arsenal at the Emirates.
