Man.
Eason is back with his new Mandarin album
『认了吧 Admit It 』.Due to massive time constraints, eight out of 10 songs were from his previous album "What's Going On?" The only two new songs inside were 淘汰 and 快乐的男生. Nevertheless, it is still a great album.
I almost missed out on this album, and I am glad I didn't forget--or it would've been a pity.
What I like abt this album:
I find that 爱情转移is a nice song. In fact, I was touched by its lyrics. One of the lyrics that gave me quite an impression, was"把一个人的温暖,转移到另一个人的胸膛". Moving one's warmth to another person's chest (as it is translated literally)...how poetic but sad, isn't it?
Another song I like is 淘汰. Typical. Typical of Jay's Chou style in this song. This song, if you have not noticed, if written by Jay Chou. In fact, the lyrics are so touching that it moved Eason to tears upon hearing the demo. But my only worry is that the "Jay Factor" is lingering very strongly in this song. Thus even when it comes to Eason singing the following lyric: "我是K歌之王", it just doesn't bring out Eason's feel. But otherwise, there's nothing to complain.
Fact File:
Ever wondered why Eason's previous album was named "What's Going On?"? Well, during then, Eason had difficulty keeping up with the deadline, making him more and more vexed up. The fact that he can't even come up with a great inspiration, make him shout out in frustration: "WHAT'S GOING ON!"
But what has this got to do with this new album? Well, same logic. He was trying to redo all the lyrics and stuff from the songs that he brought from the previous album, but due to time constraint, plus the fact that he can't get the lyric and the feel of the song together, make him say" Admit it."
So admit it, this is indeed one album you wouldn't wanna miss.
